Are you ready to become the best Instructor you can be? Completing the PADI Instructor course in Gran Canaria will take commitment, drive and your passion for scuba diving to the next level. Not only will you introduce students into the underwater world, but it is likely you will see them grow in ability and confidence.

The Instructor Development Course (IDC) consists of two parts – the Assistant Instructor (AI) and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI). Once completing the full IDC you will attend the Instructor Examination (IE) to join the ranks of esteemed PADI Professionals as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.

Prerequisites for our PADI Instructor course in Gran Canaria

A PADI Divemaster or equivelent who has been a certified diver for six months may enroll in the PADI Instructor Development Course.

You also need:

  • At least 100 dives to attend an IE
  • Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR & First Aid) training within the past 24 months
  • A medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months which can be done whilst you are here
