Learn with our own PADI Course Director

We are the only dive centre in Tenerife to have their own “in-house” PADI Course Director, Dan Scarlata. Dan is one of the most experienced PADI Instructors in the Canary Islands:

• Over 9,500 logged dives
• Native language both English and Spanish

You will be trained by Dan and his passionate team who are dedicated to helping you become the best PADI Professional you can be. We are not here to teach you how to pass the course, we are committed to giving you the best possible start to your diving career.

Use all of our amazing facilities

Our large dive centre is within Hotel Tropical Park in Costa Adeje, South Tenerife. During your PADI Professional course you will use:

• FREE NITROX (if qualified or become qualified with us) as we are one of the very few dive centres on Tenerife with their own Nitrox membrane, we can supply Enriched Air fills for free
• OUR OWN BOAT! We are also one of the few dive centres on Tenerife that own their own boat so you can experience boat dives and learn important boat diving techniques
• Modern classroom with TV for interactive workshops
• Spacious equipment room with separate wash and dry areas
• Servicing room equipped with our fully certified Coltri air compressors and Nitrox membrane
• Onsite swimming pool – perfect for all confined water training and only a few meters away from the dive centre
• Private changing facilities with hot showers
• Use some of the hotel’s facilities, such as the bar, sauna and Jacuzzi

What you can expect during your internship

• As we are a fully functioning and busy dive centre, conducting all PADI courses from beginner to Professional as well as guided dives and snorkelling trips, you will work with and learn from “real life” customers. A lot of dive centres provide their training through scenarios. Whilst this is totally fine, we prefer to offer you the most realistic training
• You will not be expected to just do the everyday “boring” dive centre jobs such as washing etc, as you will be working with us you will be fully integrated into the team and go through daily debriefings to understand the Instructors decision making and to improve as a team
• We also love to dive from the shore, so have access to over 30 different dive sites across Tenerife and will not just repeat the same sites over and over again
• You will experience a HUGE variety of diving styles such as drift diving, SMB deployment, ship-wrecks, wall dives and sites that require the use of a compass and/or natural navigation – all important factors future employers will look for
• YOU WILL DIVE A LOT! Sometimes interns spend the majority of their internship left at the dive centre to manage the front desk, phone and washing area. On average our Divemasters leave with around 60 – 80 dives completed with us during their internship

OK, so what about the FREE training part?

No matter what your current certification level is, we will provide your training and full equipment FREE OF CHARGE! The only thing you will need to pay for is the PADI Materials, e.g. access to your online theory via PADI and your professional cue slates. These are sold at a highly reduced price as to what you will see online, so please contact us and let us know your current dive certification level so we can provide you with a quote.

So, what do you need to start?

Prerequisites for all PADI Divemaster packages

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be comfortable in water as well as able to swim
• A medical statement signed by a doctor within the last 12 months (we can organise this for you when you are here)
• Have an overall positive attitude
• Be a team player and eager to learn

All certifications from other training organisations may apply.
